Spiritual Aura (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the Nitya Japa: 108 Mala Counter mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use our App.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy is written to comply with Google Play’s Developer Program Policies, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) of Canada, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and other applicable privacy laws.

The App is designed with privacy in mind. We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information about you. Specifically, the App:

Does not access your contacts, photos, files, location, microphone, or camera
Does not transmit your Japa count, statistics, or any usage data to our servers
Does not have user accounts or login functionality

Information Stored Locally on Your Device

All data created by your use of the App — including your Japa counts, mala history, statistics, and app preferences — is stored locally on your device only. We have no access to this data. If you uninstall the App, this data is permanently deleted from your device.

2. Third-Party Services: Google AdMob

The App is free and supported by advertisements served through Google AdMob, a service provided by Google LLC. AdMob displays banner, native, and interstitial ads within the App.

To serve and measure ads, AdMob collects certain information automatically, which may include:

Advertising ID (a resettable, non-personal identifier provided by your device)
IP address
Device information (such as device model, operating system version, language)
General location inferred from IP address (country/region level)
Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)
App usage information related to ads

Personalized Ads: AdMob may use this information to serve personalized ads based on your interests and previous interactions with ads. This data is collected and processed by Google, not by us.

We do not have access to the data AdMob collects, and we do not combine it with any other information.

Managing Ad Personalization

You can control how ads are personalized to you:

Android: Go to Settings → Google → Ads and enable “Opt out of Ads Personalization” or reset your Advertising ID
In-App: Where applicable (e.g., for users in the EEA, UK, and certain other regions), a consent prompt is shown allowing you to choose between personalized and non-personalized ads, in compliance with Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) and the EU User Consent Policy

3. Children’s Privacy

The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us through ad interactions, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

4. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding the limited data collected by AdMob, including:

Since all your Japa data is stored only on your device, the security of that data depends on your device’s own security (screen lock, encryption, etc.). We recommend keeping your device updated and protected with a passcode or biometric lock.

6. International Users

We are based in Canada. The App is available globally through the Google Play Store. Ad-related data collected by Google AdMob may be processed in countries outside your own, including the United States, in accordance with Google’s privacy practices.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices, the App, or applicable law. When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this policy. Significant changes will be communicated through the App or the Play Store listing. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
